Ute Tribe member gets prison sentence for knife attack


A member of the Ute Tribe has been sentenced to federal prison for a knife attack that seriously wounded his victim. Keith Carlan Nez was sentenced Tuesday to serve 21 months in prison for an attack in Fort Duchesne that left the victim with serious stab and slash wounds. U.S. District Judge Dale Kimball granted Nez credit for the nearly nine months he's spent in federal custody since his arrest in October.
