Mayor urges Interior Dept. to take proposed casino land into Indian trust

8/30/10

Mayor Will Flanagan is stepping up efforts to support the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe’s application for federal land sovereignty for the 300-acre tract the city agreed to sell the tribe if the state legalized gambling this year. This is a $500 million project,” Flanagan said.
