The Pueblo of Pojoaque Tribe, owner of the Buffalo Thunder Casino Resort and Cities of Gold Casino near Santa Fe, N.M., appointed Las Vegas–based The Fine Point Group as its strategic marketing and operations consultant, reported the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

“As part of the comprehensive restructuring of our bond obligations, the largest such restructuring in tribal history, we launched a nationwide search for leaders that could take our facilities to new heights,” said George Rivera, governor of the Pueblo of Pojoaque, according to a Buffalo Thunder Casino Resort press release. “We believe that with Randy’s change-oriented leadership, coupled with the intellectual horsepower of the industry’s largest consulting firm, we will be able to dramatically improve our results in the years ahead.”

The corporate restructuring move by the properties’ tribal government should boost the operation’s financial results, reported the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

“As part of the comprehensive restructuring of our bond obligations, the largest such restructuring in tribal history, we launched a nationwide search for leaders that could take our facilities to new heights,” Rivera said in a statement.

Gaming consultant Randall Fine will serve as the casino’s chief executive officer, and two other Fine Point officials will assume positions as chief operating officer and chief marketing officer. Another dozen Fine Point employees will likely join the New Mexico casinos to provide consulting services. Fine Point has worked with casinos in 20 states and eight countries, reported the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
