The Australian Football League (AFL), the governing body of Australian rules football, is sending one of their greats, Andrew McLeod, to the United Nations to represent them in Geneva, Switzerland, at a United Nations forum called "Combating Racism through Sport," TheAge.com.au reports.

The AFL has long battled with racism towards their Aboriginal players by fans and other players alike.  The league has become a strong voice in the fight against racism, and their inclusion into the U.N. discussion is proof their vocal support of their indigenous players has been noticed.
