JOB SUMMARY:

Serves as the Faculty Chair for Business, Management, Public Administration, and Corporate and Government Partnerships. Supervises course, curriculum and program development including assessment activities. Manages a large number of adjunct faculty. Participates in faculty leadership as part of a cohesive, multidisciplinary cohort. Designs innovative approaches to instruction and teaches to a diverse student population.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provides leadership for Business, Management, Public Administration, and Corporate and Government Partnership instructors, including training, evaluation and mentoring. Serves on collaborative work teams with faculty, staff, and administration. Responds to requests/issues from instructors and students in online, hybrid and in-person classes. Manages review and evaluation of departmental curriculum, assessments, partnerships and programs. Identifies and coordinates development of new partnerships and programs. Teaches a diverse population of students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree plus 3 years work experience in field to be taught OR an Associate's degree or 64 semester hours and 5 years work experience in the field to be taught, OR 5 years work experience in the field to be taught, OR Masters degree  in the teaching field, OR a Master's in any teaching field with 24 upper division and/or graduate semester hours in the teaching field, OR Master's in any teaching field with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching field

- EDU 250 - Teaching and Learning in the Community College or equivalent must be completed within two years of date of hire

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Graduate degree in business or business-administration-related field from a regionally accredited institution

- Experience teaching online and in-person introductory Business courses

- Experience developing and/or revising Business curricula

- Experience developing innovative instruction and curriculum

- Experience working with program/community advisory committees

- Experience hiring, training and managing faculty

- Experience working with diverse populations (including at-risk, adult re-entry, rehabilitation, early college, etc.)

- Leadership experience such as Department or Division Chair at the Post secondary level

- Management experience in a business setting

- Demonstrated expertise in entrepreneurship, including business startup, small-business development, and teaching entrepreneurship courses

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
