Saskatchewan-Japan Clean Coal Deal
Saskatchewan and Japan will collaborate on clean coal, carbon capture and storage, the Winnipeg Free Press reported on Jan. 25.
The Japan Coal Energy Center, representing 100-plus companies, signed a memorandum of understanding with Saskatchewan in hopes of encouraging more cooperation on those technologies between scientists and companies of both places.
Part of the goal is to help industries and utilities reduce their environmental impact, Saskatchewan Energy Minister Bill Boyd told the Winnipeg Free Press.
