Schwarzenegger Meets and Greets Manitoba First Nation Chiefs

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger stopped to meet with three Manitoba First Nation chiefs on Tuesday before speaking at a sold-out Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce banquet.

Arriving from Calgary, where he had spoken at another conference, the recently departed California governor squeezed in a meeting with Peguis First Nation Chief Glenn Hudson, Southern Chiefs Organization Grand Chief Morris Swan Shannecappo and Roseau River First Nation Chief Terry Nelson, the CBC reported.

They discussed “matters of mutual interest,” including emergency planning, flooding, the environment, energy, U.S. relations and land-claim issues, the CBC said in a Jan. 25 report.
