Gila River Casinos Names New Director of Gaming
Gila River Casinos, which owns and operates three destination casinos near Phoenix, Arizona: Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino, Lone Butte Casino and Vee Quiva Casino, recently promoted Louis J.DiCampli to corporate director of gaming, according to a Gila River Casinos news release.
DiCampli, who claims 26 years combined experience in the gaming industry, will be responsible for driving gaming revenues through game performance analysis and new gaming product research.
Working with Gila River Casinos since 2003, DiCampli was hired to open the blackjack operations, and he created the first Dealer School to train and hire Gila River Indian Community members as dealers. He also helped open two of Gila River Casinos' new properties.
“Lou has been an integral part of our team here at Gila River Casinos. His vast knowledge of gaming made him a natural selection for this position along with the respect he has earned from his colleagues and fellow Team Members,” said John J. James, CEO of Gila River Casinos. “Gila River Casinos takes pride in offering the best gaming experience to all of our guests and Lou plays an important role in maintaining our lead position in the market.”
DiCampli has also served management positions at Players Island Casino, Beau Rivage and Bally’s ParkPlace Hotel-Casino.
“I am excited to take on the new challenges associated with this promotion,” DiCampli said in the news release. “We have a number of thrilling new game experiences to launch in the coming months and I look forward to working with the Gila River Casinos team to introduce these exciting options to our guests.”
