Sen. Tim Johnson Visits Tribal Health Care Facilities
U.S. Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD) continues his support for the betterment of Indian country as he recently toured the Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center on Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate reservation with tribal leaders and members of the health care staff.
“Improving the quality of health care for South Dakotans is one of my most important efforts in Congress,” Johnson said. “We have made great strides in Washington to enact reforms that increase access to health care, and have reauthorized the Indian Health Care Improvement Act. I want to make sure that they are having a positive impact for South Dakotans, including those on reservations.”
Before his visit to Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center, Johnson met with administrators at the Couteau Des Prairies Hospital and Clinic to discuss his efforts to improve care as well.
