The Shinnecock Indian Nation is eyeing an old cosmetics distribution facility on Long Island to house its casino, reported The New York Post.

The former Estée Lauder manufacturing building, built in 1989, covers 230,000 square feet on a 29-acre site in Yaphank. There are already 800 parking spaces available. "Obviously, if you already have a building in place, that's a tremendous advantage," a source told the Post.

The site is much smaller than the Brookhaven Airport and another Yaphank property the tribe was previously pursuing for its Long Island casino. The Shinnecock Nation is reportedly considering roughly 30 acres surrounding the facility for potential expansion. The tribe's full membership has yet to approve the location.

The tribe, which plans to build three casinos, has seen plans fall through for its proposed casino in the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Union Dale, New York. The Southampton-based tribe is reportedly still looking at a possible casino in Belmont Park.
