Bill Could Allow Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Right to Determine Member Requirements
A bill, H.R. 1560, that looks to amend the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo and the Alabama and Coushatta Indian Tribes of Texas Restoration Act of 1987 received support during a House Indian and Alaska Native Affairs Subcommittee hearing last week.
The bill addresses blood quantum issues in regards of who decides the required amount for the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Tribe.
