Gila River Man Sentenced to More Than Seven Years
U.S. District Judge David G. Campbell sentenced Darin James Kisto, 42, of Laveen, Arizona, to 87 months in federal prison on October 24.
Kisto was arrested selling cocaine base to an undercover officer and plead guilty on August 22 to Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute 28 grams or more of Cocaine Base.
Kisto and his co-defendant, Joseph Kelly Molina, conspired to sell, and did sell, cocaine base on multiple occasions to an undercover officer between December 2007 and May 2009 on the Gila River Indian Reservation. Molina plead guilty on August 8 to Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute 28 Grams or More of Cocaine Base. His sentencing will be October 31.
The Gila River Police Department conducted the investigation along with the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
