American Indian Youth Highlighted at White House

On December 1, the day before the White House Tribal Nations Conference, tribal leaders from around the country and members of President Barack Obama’s administration honored 11 American Indian youth leaders as Champions of Change.

In June Obama asked Native youth to submit their stories of leadership and community service to which hundreds answered the call said Charles Galbraith, a citizen of the Navajo Nation, has been named deputy associate director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs in the White House Office of Public Engagement.

In this video the youth leaders that were selected from those who answered the call participate in a discussion with tribal leaders and others.
