Two Sentenced in Swastika Branding Case

In August Paul Beebe and Jesse Sanford of Farmington, New Mexico pled guilty in the U.S. District Court in Albuquerque, New Mexico to federal hate crime charges related to the assault on Vincent Kee, a 22-year-old developmentally disabled Navajo man. On January 25, both men received their sentences for the racially motivated attack that took place April 2010.

Beebe received a sentence of 8 ½ years in prison and Sanford was sentenced to 5 years in prison, and three years’ supervised probation upon release for both men according to an Associated Press article.
