British Prime Minister David Cameron left his 8-year-old daughter Nancy at a pub after enjoying a Sunday lunch with family and some friends a few months ago, reported The Guardian.

His wife Samantha left in one car, and Cameron left in another. They both thought their daughter was with the other.

"The prime minister and Samantha were distraught when they realized Nancy wasn't with them," Cameron's office said in a statement Monday. "Thankfully when they phoned the pub—she was there safe and well. The prime minister went down straight away to get her."

Nancy was at Plough pub in Cadsden for about 15 minutes before her father arrived. She was reportedly helping pub staff when he returned.

A Downing Street spokesperson said Cameron takes responsibility for the mistake, but he would not say whether the Prime Minister was drinking during the meal.

"As you know, the prime minister is a very busy man but he always tries to live as normal a life as possible with his family," the spokesman said.

Not all pub patrons were so understanding. "You'd have thought someone would have done a headcount or something," a customer told The Sun. "It's frightening the prime minister of Britain can forget something so important as his own daughter."

News of the incident circulated throughout British press on Monday, just as Cameron’s government was preparing to relaunch a $700 million program to assist troubled families, reported New York Daily News.

Seriously, why should we care? Is the British prime minister a skin? Is his wife a skin? Are their daughters skins? Are they governing Indian land? My guess is some Canadian Indian with no Indian culture but retaining the Canadian fascination for the English royalty has put up this non-story in ICTMN.
