Looking for a little powwow action to fill up your weekend calendar?

You're in the right place because we've put together a great list of powwows happening all across the nation this weekend just for you!

If one of these exciting events is located near you, we recommend heading over to enjoy some lively dancing and drumming, thrilling musical performances, and delicious, authentic foods!

Lucky Star Casino Annual Powwow, Oklahoma

When & Where: August 24th – 25th at the Lucky Star Casino in Clinton, Oklahoma.

Kicking off at 4pm Friday afternoon with some Gourd dancing, this year’s powwow is going to be filled with competitive dancing and drumming. Dancers will compete for cash prizes ranging from $300 - $500 and drummers will be fighting for a shot at the grand prize of $4000.  Other festivities will include a frybread making contest, bingo, and the crowd favorite, Tiny Tots! Three Fires Homecoming Pow Wow, Ontario

When & Where: August 25th – 26th at the New Credit Pow Wow Grounds in Hagersville, Ontario.

Themed “Our Story…Continues,” the Three Fires Homecoming is a celebration hosted by the Mississaugas of New Credit First Nation. According to their website, the Mississaugas are “celebrating our heritage through our community mural located next to the powwow… The mural tells our story from the first creation – the creation of the universe, and the world, to the present day [of our] community’s history.” For more information about this event, click here.

Potawatomi Trails Pow-Wow, Illinois

When & Where: August 25th – 26th at the Shiloh Park in Zion, Illinois.

Festivities begin each day at 10am. Grand entry is at 1pm and 7pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday.  A small thank you present will be given to each powwow attendee. For more information about this event, click here.

26th Annual Restoration Celebration, Oregon

When & Where: August 24th – 26th in Chiloquin, Oregon.

Starting off with at Fun Run Friday afternoon at 3pm, this year’s powwow will be filled with several festivities. Competitive dancing will start at 7pm Friday night. A parade will kick off Saturday’s festivities, followed by the Crater Lake Stampede Open Youth Rodeo at 12pm. Admission is free, for more information about this event, click here.
