"Hidden Gems: Wisconsin": Web Travel Series Profiles Native Nations in Wisconsin
Travel expert Peter Greenberg is producing a series of "Meet the Nations" of Wisconsin travel videos online. As he describes on his website, "On these lands, we’re going to show you some Hidden Gems most travelers never get to see because they simply don’t know about them. These are experiences not in the guidebooks, not in the brochures. And even though they aren’t widely known, these special destinations and experiences are accessible to all. There’s no better way to start than to attend an authentic pow wow that brings the tribes together and honors their histories."
In Wisconsin, as Greenberg's site notes, you’ll find the Oneida Tribe of Wisconsin, Forest County Potawatomi, Menominee, Stockbridge Munsee, Sokaogon Mole Lake Community, Ho-Chunk, the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Bad River Band, the Lac Courte Oreilles Band, the Red Cliff Band, and the St. Croix Chippewa Indian Tribes. Each week a new video will profile one of the nations.
