Video: 'Idle No More: The Next Generation'
The filmmakers who brought you the documentary on an Idle No More rally in Seattle are back and have upped the ante with "Idle No More: The Next Generation."
The vivid clip focuses on young people, in keeping with its theme of concern for the coming generation, at an Idle No More rally on the U.S.-Canada border. Many wear colorful regalia and pound away on hand drums. The audio track is "Letter to My Countrymen" by Brother Ali. Ali and this video's director, Dave Wilson, have collaborated in the past and are connected through the Rhymesayers label. Ali approved the use of the song in the video.
The clip was produced by Gyasi Ross and Brodie Stevens in association with Idle No More -- North West Coastal -- their previous video can be seen here.

I think the nations would
I think the nations would have come together stronger if cheiff Spence would have stayed more true, with her hunger strike, and if the public would have been notified of some clarifacation on what it was all about. It is about the right to live as free people on mother earth, to fish in clean waters, to breath fresh air, to walk on the earth without fear of being charged with something that some horny politition drempt up.To walk without having to look over your shoulder to see your neighbour paying more attention to what you are doing, so they can report you. If your neighbour would be paying more attention on what the government was doing, they would see the greater picture of what they are doing. To make sure your children, and their children get to see some freedom, and not just be a slave to the system.

Is the intent of making
Is the intent of making videos, to draw the attention away from the main focus of all indigenous people to not be idle no more on all issues. The taking apart of causes is the usual practice of the opposing side.
