Labrador Helps New Jersey Rescue Team Find Dead Master

February 06, 2013
Over the weekend, Kentucky, a Labrador retriever, and his master Bjoern Waalberg went hiking in the heavily wooded hills of the Apshawa Preserve in West Milford, New Jersey.
When the two weren’t home by 7p.m., Waalberg’s wife alerted the police.
According to the Associated Press, three hours later the West Milford police found Waalberg’s body because Kentucky had not left his side and they “saw the dog's eyes reflecting off headlamps during its search late Saturday.”
It would seem that dog is still man’s best friend even in death.
