In his role as Director of Crowe & Dunlevy  law firm, D. Michael McBride III has used his wealth of knowledge to better the American Indian community – a task that has not gone unnoticed.

Chambers & Partners, an international legal publisher, recently named McBride a Star Individual – the publisher’s highest individual honor.

According to the publisher’s a Star Individual is a professional with a “history of excellence" which is usually evidenced by "the sheer weight of recommendations compared with their peers." McBride is among the top individuals in the law field sought out for his knowledge in gaming, federal Indian law, litigation and complex transactions.

“We are proud of Michael’s recognition as a Star Individual,” said Kevin D. Gordon, president of Crowe & Dunlevy. “His immense contribution to the practice of Native American law, clearly exemplifies Chambers' definition of a Star Individual as someone who has 'managed to change the landscape in dramatic ways.'"

One of McBride’s roles at Crowe & Dunlevy is serving as chair of the firm’s Indian Law & Gaming Practice Group. He has also been counsel to numerous Indian tribes and gaming related-companies. McBride has represented more than 20 Indian tribal governments or their entities and other corporations and individuals doing business with tribes. Serving as chair of the Practice Group, the practice has become the go to Native American law practice in the state of Oklahoma leading to a Band 1 ranking by Chambers & Partners in 2013.
