Paul Frank Industries has announced the details of its promised collaboration with Native designers, a venture that came about in the wake of a racially-insensitive party held in September.

The line of products will be called "Paul Frank Presents," and will feature contributions from four noted Native designers. Louie Gong (Nooksack) is designing a silk-screened handbag; Candace Halcro (Cree/Metis) will apply her beading artistry to Paul Frank sunglasses; Dustin Martin (Navajo) will be designing t-shirts featuring Julius the monkey; and jeweler Autumn Dawn Gomez (Comanche/Taos Pueblo) will create accessories.

"We're honored to be working with such talented and enthusiastic designers for this fashion and accessories collection," Elie Dekel, president of Paul Frank's parent company Saban Brands, said in the press announcement. "Each artist has really captured the whimsical and fun energy of the Paul Frank brand and incorporated it into their designs for the line."

Paul Frank has partnered with the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts and will be unveiling the products at an August 16 event during Santa Fe Indian Market.
