The Talking Stick Resort and the Agua Caliente Resort were recently ranked in the top ten percent worldwide for traveler feedback. Talking Stick Resort is owned and operated by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and the Agua Caliente Casino Resort is owned by the 400-member Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians.

Based on guest feedback, the resorts won the 2013 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in which the property must successfully maintain an overall rating of four or higher across the board.

General Manager C.J. Graham of Agua Caliente told Indian Gaming Magazine that it’s an honor to receive the award. “Our guests are our number one priority,” he said. “The fact that they take the time to give us such remarkable feedback…speaks volumes.” Guests described the resort as “paradise in the desert” and “the best Indian-owned casino resort in America.”

Employees of the Talking Stick Resort and Spa were also elated. “Winning the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is a true source of pride for the entire team at Talking Stick Resort because it takes the hard work of everyone here to achieve it,” said Steve Gerken, senior director of hospitality, in a press release. The resort surrounds the Salt-River Indian community, which is home to the Pima or "Akimel O'Odham" and the Maricopa or "Xalychidom Piipaash" tribes.
