Squaxin Island Tribe's Salish Cliffs Named to 'Best Resort Courses' List by Golfweek Magazine
Golfweek magazine added Salish Cliffs Golf Club at Little Creek Casino Resort to its 2014 “Best Resort Courses” list.
“It’s gratifying to earn this critical acclaim for Salish Cliffs,” said Head Golf Professional David Kass, PGA, in a news release. “Distinction like this affirms the quality of the course, the dedication of our staff, and the commitment of Little Creek Casino Resort and the Squaxin Island Tribe to maintaining an outstanding golf amenity.”
Salish Cliffs was the lone Washington state course recognized on the list. The course is located within an easy drive of Olympia and Seattle.This is the second year in a row that Salish Cliffs has been listed as a best resort. It moved up 11 spots to No. 55 on the annual top-100 list.
Past accolades for the Gene Bates-designed course include earning the No. 3 spot in Golfweek’s 2013 “America’s Best Courses You Can Play” in Washington and top-10 status in Golf Digest’s biennial “2013-14 America’s Greatest Courses” by state, and Golfweek’s “Top-50 Best Casino Courses.”
November green fees start at $59 on weekdays and $69 on weekends at Salish Cliffs, including cart, range balls and tax. Special rates are available online at Salish-Cliffs.com and for hotel guests, Primetime Players (ages 50 and older) and military personnel. The course is open year-round.
Stay-and-Play packages start at $99 and include one-night accommodation at Little Creek Casino Resort, one round of golf, cart, range balls, a voucher book with 50 percent off at the new Seven Inlets Spa, $10 free play in the casino, one free breakfast and other resort-wide discounts. The package is valid any day of the week, based on availability.
