Dana White Says Johny Hendricks Robbed in UFC Title Fight

Otoe-Missouria tribal member Johny Hendricks fought a hell of a fight on Saturday night at UFC 167—there's no doubt about that. But when the judges' votes were tallied, Hendricks lost his bid to take the welterweight title from Georges St-Pierre.

Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White was one of many people who took issue with the decision. In a post-bout press conference, White didn't mince words.

“Does anybody here think that Johny Hendricks didn’t win the fight?” White asked. “I’m blown away that Georges St-Pierre won that fight. And listen, I’m a promoter. He’s the biggest pay-per-view star on the f–king planet for me, and I still don’t think he won that fight. I want what’s fair, and that wasn’t fair. I think the Nevada State Athletic Commission is atrocious. I think the governor needs to step in immediately before these guys destroy the sport like they did boxing.”

Two judges scored the fight 48-47 for St-Pierre, with the third deeming Hendricks the winner by the same score. But the media in attendance unanimously found Hendricks to be the winner -- according to MMADecisions.com, all 16 journalists scored the bout in his favor.

"The judges sort of ripped my heart out," Hendricks said after the fight. “I thought from two minutes in it was my fight. ... I was handling everything. I thought I went out in the fourth round and secured my win. Fifth round, I was thinking, ‘Stay active, don’t change anything.’ That wasn’t the right game plan, obviously.”

Hendricks tapped out in the first so I say the ref screwed up St Pierre's first round win and did not call the tap out

I'm glad i'm not the only one who saw the tap out by Hendricks in round one. GSP landed more hits & had many take fiends in rounds three and five. It could've gone either way way because if those factors. The judging does need to be fixed though because many fights that go to the judges don't ebbs fairly. They do say don't Kerry it go to the judges though so...
