The Potawatomi Business Development Corporation (PBDC), the economic diversification arm of the Forest County Potawatomi, announced November 19 that the tribe’s Securio Group, LLC, acquired Redhawk Network Engineering, Inc., a Bend, Oregon-based cybersecurity company.

Redhawk Network Engineering has merged with the Oklahoma-based security services company, Securio Group, a sister company of Advancia Corporation. A newly formed organization, Redhawk Network Security, LLC, will be the operating company moving forward. John Pelley, president, and Dave Lindemann, vice president, will manage the day-to-day operations.

This new organization makes it possible for Redhawk to grow, add personnel and support more research and development, the company said in a press release. The new company will also provide advancement and technical growth opportunities for all of Redhawk’s employees.

“New capabilities will allow Redhawk to keep up with the rapidly changing security environment and to provide the best possible services for our clients. In addition, the new organization will have the capital to support our plan to become a national force in cybersecurity,” said John Pelley, Redhawk President.

Rudy Alvarado, CEO of Securio, added, “Redhawk will continue to serve its commercial clients, and with our 30 year government experience, begin exploring for cyber work in the Federal Government and State of Oklahoma.”

“The acquisition of Redhawk is a testament to the leadership of our operating companies and their response to uncertainty and changes in the federal marketplace,” said Chris Meinecke, Potawatomi Business Development Corporation CFO. “Advancia and the family of operating companies has historically relied exclusively on federal government contracting.  Redhawk will help diversify and effectively navigate the commercial market. We’re proud to welcome Redhawk to the Potawatomi family of companies.”

Both Securio and Redhawk believe in supporting the local Bend, Oregon community. Redhawk will continue to be the technology leader in central Oregon and will provide more jobs to Bend area technical professionals.
