Students from the Salish School of Spokane can be seen here reciting an excerpt of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech in the Salish language.

King delivered his famous speech on August 28, 1963 on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington. During the speech he called for an end to racism.

“I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,’” King said.
