Circle of Smiles: February Is National Children's Dental Health Month

Circle of Smiles
2/20/14

Tooth decay is the nation’s most common childhood disease and the reason for over 51 million hours of school missed each year. With February being National Children’s Dental Health month, the Circle of Smiles oral health program would like to remind families to take the time to brush up on their oral health together.

Developing good dental habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits can help children get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums. Through oral health education and regular dental visits, your child can be on their way to a healthier smile.

Please contact the Circle of Smiles Program Manager, Zach Parsons at 1-800-627-3961 to locate a Circle of Smiles hygienist in your area. Along with providing preventive services to children ages 0-9, the Circle of Smiles program also provides preventive dental cleanings and oral health education to pregnant women and patients with diabetes.
