Is Casey Kasem Being Hidden on an Indian Reservation in Washington?

Radio DJ Casey Kasem has gone missing, and reports are suggesting he may have been spirited away to an Indian reservation in Washington state.

Kasem, whose unmistakable voice defined American Top 40 for many years and gave life to cartoon characters that included Scooby-Doo's hippie friend Shaggy, is 82 and suffering from Parkinson's Disease. For months, a fairly public feud has played out between Kasem's current wife, Jean Kasem, and his three children from his first marriage. Julie, Kerri and Mike Kasem, along with their mother Linda Myers Naylor, have painted a "wicked stepmother" portrait of Jean Kasem, alleging that she severely restricts their access to their ailing father and doesn't seem to care about him too much herself.

"This horrible woman, he's literally afraid of her," Naylor told The Hollywood Reporter. In an earlier Hollywood Reporter story, Kerri Kasem said that a visitation agreement offered to the siblings by Jean Kasem "not only treats us like criminals, it treats my dad like an inmate. It's about money for her. It's about love for us."Jean Kasem's attorney countered that  "For reasons [Julie, Kerri, and Mike] know all too well, their presence at this stage would be toxic and extremely distressing for Casey, Jean and their daughter, Liberty, who have had enough of their cruelty."

Despite the drama, the Kasem children were recently able to visit their dad on May 6 at Berkley East Convalescent Hospital. Soon afterward, the radio legend disappeared. "His wife [Jean] went in that night, dumped him into a car and took him away," Naylor told THR. "He had an IV plus a stomach feeding tube."

Lifestyles of the rich, famous, and unhappy, right?

An overheard phone call now has the public wondering whether Kasem has been hidden away on an unnamed rez in Washington.

"Jean was talking to her niece in Washington on the phone," Julie Kasem told THR, "saying, 'I need an Indian reservation with a private airstrip and I want to bring Casey there.' Her nephew overheard and immediately alerted Kerri."

The question remains: Where is the aged radio host -- who can, by the way, no longer speak due to Parkinson's? Jean Kasem's attorney stated that he doesn't know where Casey Kasem is, but that he is out of the country, which led Kerri Kasem to speculate that her father may have been moved to Canada. A judge has put a court investigator on the case.

What a heartbreaking story. So many of us enjoyed listening to Casey Kasem over the years who enlightened us to countless musicians' arduous and/or celebratory trek to America's Top 40. It is always deeply disheartening and grievous when accounts are shared about and from elders who suffer tremendously at the hands of those who are suppose to give every ounce of their goodness, respect, honor and love to them. If the investigator turns up empty handed, the family may want to consider obtaining the services of a medicine person. An aptly trained medicine person would be able to see where Casey has trekked and his present physical and emotional state. Also, with the help of prayers and the media, we may hopefully hear of a sighting of Casey Kasem much sooner than later. Hang in there big guy! Help is on its way.

Wait until he has to use the medical facilities on the rez, he will head back to his comfy convalescent hospital... or die, like we do.

WTF? Now they're going to blame NDNs for Casem's disappearance? Can't they just hate us for all the things they imagined we did?
