The Absentee Shawnee Tribe will open the doors to its new casino in Shawnee, Oklahoma on Thursday, August 11. The Thunderbird Casino—the same name of a smaller facility in Norman—will feature 250 slot machines, a dining area and a full-service cocktail lounge.

The new casino will create 60 jobs in Pottawatomie County, officials told the Associated Press.

Smilin Vic and other bands will perform live at the grand opening.
