Application Deadline for Native Earth Summer Camp Is July 2
Native American elders, teachers and environmental science professionals will provide a 10-day summer camp for Native American youth from August 8-17 through the Center for Native Peoples and the Environment at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF).
The camp will focus on teaching students land skills and environmental stewardship, using both traditional ecological knowledge and environmental science. Camp classes are held at Thompson Island Youth and Elders Camp and SUNY ESF's Cranberry Lake Biological Station. The camp is open to Native American youth from the northeast region in grades nine through 12.
