The Cherokee Heritage Center in Park Hill, Oklahoma regularly welcomes field trip groups to teach school kids what it took to live in Indian territory.

Visitors learn how to use a loom, how to cook, weave baskets, and how to play some of the sports and games that kept kids occupied 120 years ago.

I only wish that I could find out what tribe certain people in my family belonged to. Is that a possibility through this center or where else should I look?
