Major Stephanie R. Griffith, USMC, has served in the Marine Corps for 13 years and according to an article in Native Sun News, the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe member was recently awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service to her country.

While serving in Afghanistan her primary duties were to assist the United States in its relations with local governments.
