The energy once the chicken dance starts (at minute 1:40) is undeniable, and awesome.  The Gathering of Nations dance competitions are unique because the environment inside the University of New Mexico's arena (affectionately called "The Pit") creates intense reverberation, heightening the already vibrant energy and skill on display.
