UpperMichigansSource.com reported that volunteers from Moosewood Nature Center, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, recently gave a lesson in Ojibwa history and culture, focusing on natural resources used by Native Americans. Attendees practiced crafting out of birch tree parts and ate a traditional dish of wild rice, wild cranberries and blueberries, all of which are found locally.
