GENERAL MANAGER
COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Cayuse Technologies is a software development delivery center owned by CTUIR (Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation).The facility is located in Pendleton, Oregon and enjoys a rural lifestyle with the opportunity to work in a high tech environment. We are a five year old organization that has experienced progressive and explosive growth during the recession.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The General Manager is the top position at Cayuse Technologies, LLC and is responsible for: day to day management of the company; compliance with all agreements between Cayuse Technologies and third parties; financial performance and overall health of the business; development of client and community relationships; business development; sales, contract creation, review and compliance; client satisfaction; facility operations; employee performance and satisfaction and the overall effectiveness of personnel development.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years relevant experience (commercial business management in technical field) required
i.e. software development, contact center, business process outsourcing, consulting and/or other related industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Strong leadership and business management experience must be demonstrated, with the ability to:
- make decisions quickly while being responsive to client demands for turnaround
- clearly articulate decisions to others in a timely manner
- be responsive and take quick action in dealing with clients, employees and the community
- create, develop and maintain strong relationships
- build and manage teams
- develop and foster trust among others
- lead in the development of policies and procedures of Cayuse Technologies
- Client service delivery and business development (sales)
- Adept at contract development, interpretation and compliance
- Business process/metrics compliance experience
- Knowledge of American Indian history, self-determination, historical and current issues, social
- complexities etc…
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including:
- effective public speaking in a variety of situations with a variety of audiences
- the ability to think on ones feet
- ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people
- ability to mentor, coach and develop others
- Strong customer focus and an ability to work well in teams, as both a leader or a participant, or individually
- Experience with project-based planning and management
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS STRONGLY PREFERRED:
- Profit and loss responsibility and marketing/sales experience
- Tribal Administrative exposure and/or experience a plus
POSITION CONSIDERATIONS:
- Must be able to travel as needed
- Indian preference observed
- Willingness to relocate upon hire
