Qualifications: The Chief Judge must have a law degree and in good standing with the jurisdictions of which he/she is admitted to practice. Never has been convicted of a felony, unless pardoned. Must be of good character, reputation and will have the status and respect equal to other tribal branch positions. All Judges must be of high moral character and physically able to perform the duties of office. Must know and understand the Ho-Chunk community and the people. Must become and maintain membership in the Ho-Chunk

Nation Bar Association.
