The historic Crown–First Nations Gathering is under way, and all proceedings are being webcast through 4 p.m. January 24.
As the noon hour approached, Canada Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq was speaking as Prime Minister Stephen Harper and other officials look on. The gathering includes several hundred chiefs from around the country.
