A casino construction site in Cincinnati, Ohio partially collapsed on Friday, injuring as many as 16-20 people and seriously hurting at least nine, reported the Cincinnati Enquirer. Police are investigating what caused a substantial portion of the building to fall down. The casino is being developed in partnership with Caesar's Entertainment.
The workers, all in the 30 to mid-40s age range, remain conscious. They are being evaluated, but none have life-threatening injuries.
"A single bay of the facility collapsed as concrete was being poured. All workers were accounted for," Steve Rosenthal of casino co-developer Rock Gaming LLC said in a statement.
