MP Nods Off During Discussion of First Nations Water Woes
Aboriginal water woes did not keep this Member of Parliament (MP) awake. During an animated question period in the House of Commons, as Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development John Duncan talked about the millions that have been spent trying to provide decent water services to First Nations, Conservative Alberta MP Rob Anders drooped as if in a turkey coma.
This is the same MP who once called Nelson Mandela a terrorist. The video of Anders nodding off (while a colleague nods, vehemently, at Duncan's words) on November 17, 2011, had received about 25,000 hits on YouTube by Thursday morning.
