Kayenta, Arizona-based custom guitar shop Navatone has created a limited-edition electric guitar as a tribute to the Navajo Code Talkers of World War II. Designer Shonie De La Rosa, who designs his "rez-built" custom Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster guitars in the heart of Navajo Country, will present one of the four guitars (one for each of the traditional Navajo cardinal directions) at this weekend's National Association of Music Merchants trade show, where it will be signed by Code Talker Samuel Tom Holiday; it will then be taken back to the reservation where other Code Talkers will also sign it.
