Notah Begay's 4th Annual NB3 Foundation Challenge
It's finally here. On Wednesday, August 31, Notah Begay's 4th Annual NB3 Foundation takes place at Turning Stone Resort's Atunyote Golf Club near Verona, New York. The event is part of Mr. Begay's quest to reduce the rates of childhood obesity and type 2 diabetes in Indian Country.
Proceeds from the tournament go directly to support the NB3 Foundation's efforts to build a "evidence-based sports, health, wellness and leadership development program that can be replicated in Indian Country," states an NB3 press release. The partnership between the foundation and the Oneida Indian Nation, as well as the support from the ranks of the professional golfers who have come out to the tournament to draw attention to the foundation, have helped raise more than $2.4 million to support the foundation’s mission.
