Pine Ridge Reservation's Scatter Their Own Take Stage 49 at Gathering of Nations
The Oglala Lakota alternative rock band Scatter Their Own know how to rock a crowd. And that's exactly what they're going to be doing in a little under an hour at the Gathering of Nations in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
As we have been showcasing the past three days, the Gathering of Nations, one of the world's largest pow wows, offers one of the largest stages on the planet for Native musicians and performers to showcase their talents. As Albuquerque, New Mexico is filled with more than 500 tribes and up to 100,000 attendees, Stage 49 (located in the University of New Mexico's basketball arena, "The Pit") gives these incredible acts a huge venue.
So who are Scatter Their Own? The band is comprised of Scotti Cliff, who has performed all across the United States and Canada as a vocalist, bass player, drummer, guitarist and back up singer, and Juliana Brown Eyes, a bass player and rhythm guitarist. As the band says on their facebook page: They believe Music is for, and about People.
So enjoy, and if you're so inclined, give them a "Like" on their facebook page. This is a band on the rise.
