Pow Wow Weekend Planner
Pow wow season has officially begun, and this coming weekend is a big one in the world of pow wows, with celebrations and ceremonies happening on colleges, reservations, and throughout Indian country.
Rally in the Valley Youth Competition and Intertribal Powwow
When & Where: March 31st at Nellis Hall on the campus of Coffeyville Community College at 400 West 11th Street, Coffeyville, Kansas.
Doors open at noon (vendors can get in and start setting up by 9:30am), and the festivities begin with a stickball demonstration at 12:15, followed by the youth Grand Entry & Competition. There will also be a hand drum competition, followed by the host, the Lenape Gourd Clan, and the adult Grand Entry at 7 pm, with the Delaware Color Guard. The adult contest will follow.

Pawnee Nation College Annual Pow Wow
When & Where: March 31 at Pawnee Nation College on 900 Agency Road, Pawenee, Oklahoma.
There's going to be a whole lot of incredible dancing going on, from Fancy, Grass, Straight and Traditional for the men to Buckskin, Cloth, Fancy Shawl and Jingle for the women. There will also be a Tiny Tots dance and a special hand drum contest.

Westwood Pow Wow
Where & When: March 31 at Westwood High School, 945 West 8th Street, Mesa, Arizona.
With Gourd dancing starting at 10 am, this is one pow wow that hits the ground running, and early. Grand Entry is held at noon and again at 6 pm, with specials including a drum special, women's Southern Traditional and girls Jingle Dress. Your Master of Ceremonies will be Check Benson, your host Northern Drum will be Skinny Pony, and your host Southern Drum will be Comanche Red.
