The Missourian recently reported the story of a man who found himself in possession of a stolen Native American artifact and returned it.

Paul Cary, coordinator of Toxicology at the University of Missouri, discovered in 2008 that a basket he purchased for his personal collection had been stolen from a museum of the Pacific Northwest Yakama tribe. The process of returning it was a long one.
