Remembering Thanksgiving, the Lakota Way

This video, originally posted in 2009, gives a Native American view on Thanksgiving and what it means.

"Thanksgiving wasn't about Indians and whites getting together and feasting, it was about giving thanks," the narrator says. "We had Thanksgiving way before the white settlers came, Thanksgiving should be done not just once a year but everyday we should give prayer and thanks for everything the Creator has provided for us."
