RES Oklahoma: Communications Strategist for Microsoft, Starbucks and Verizon to Deliver Keynote Address
The creative communications strategist behind a number of Fortune 100 companies, Victoria Labalme, will deliver the keynote at RES Oklahoma, a Reservation Economic Summit event taking place November 14-15 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa.
Labalme will additionally present a workshop at RES Oklahoma entitled, “The Through Line and the Art of Speaking—Establishing A Through Line to Deliver Your Message with Clarity & Impact!”
Labalme is credited with transforming people’s communications—from enhancing their listening skills to strengthening their speaking abilities to maximizing their presentation impact. Among her many notable clients are: Microsoft, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Oracle, Verizon, Blue Cross Blue Shield, American Heart Association, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 24 Hour Fitness, Intel, New York Life Insurance and Million Dollar Round Table.

Labalme’s presentations will take place on November 14 with her keynote address starting at 9:15 a.m., followed by her workshop at 10:30 a.m.
RES Oklahoma, presented by the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and Cherokee Nation Businesses, will also offer opportunities to network with Apple Inc. and NBC Universal supplier diversity representatives.
At RES Oklahoma, Apple Inc. intends to actively seek Native American companies in construction and other service areas for potential supplier opportunities involved in the building of their new Austin Texas Campus. The NCAIED is encouraging construction and service companies to bring their material to the RES Oklahoma Business Trade Fair and speak directly with Maurice Webb, manager of supplier diversity for Apple Corporate Procurement, to navigate opportunities to do business with Apple Inc.
Native American companies interested is becoming a supplier for NBC Universal should meet with Daphne J. Harvey, senior vice president of Strategic Sourcing for NBC Universal.
RES Oklahoma will additionally feature presentations by respected tribal leaders, government dignitaries and top CEOs. The 37th Annual Indian Progress in Business Awards Gala (INPRO) has also been incorporated into the two-day RES event in Tulsa. INPRO will recognize "accomplishments and contributions made by American Indians and those who have supported their economic and business development endeavors," states an NCAIED press release.
Major highlights of the INPRO Awards Banquet are the Jay Silverheels Award and the NCAIED's annual recognition of the “40 Under 40 Awards” honoring emerging American Indian leaders between the ages of 18 to 39 “who have demonstrated leadership, initiative and dedication to achieve significant contributions in business, communities and Indian country.”
