Seneca Nation’s Porter Removed as CEO
In news that broke this weekend the Seneca Nation of Indians announced November 12 that the tribal councillors voted to remove Robert Odawi Porter as chief executive officer by a vote of 10-6, replacing him with Councillor Michael John reported buffalonews.com.
Porter will remain as president of the nation, but the vote removes any power Porter had over the daily governing of the nation’s business and representing the nation in any capacity John said.
The move came amidst the Nation’s deteriorating relationship with the state of New York.
