Wisconsin Senator Jim Holperin Visits Menominee Indian Reservation
Avid supporter of treaty rights and Wisconsin Senator Jim Holperin (D) is scheduled to visit the Menominee Indian Tribe today, July 7.
Holperin will be meeting with constituents and tribal leaders of the 12th Senate District while taking a tour that includes Menominee Tribal Enterprises, Menominee Casino, College of Menominee Nation, Conservation Department and museum. The tour will conclude with Holperin appearing at the tribe’s legislative meeting in Keshena, Wisconsin.
Holperin was elected to the Senate in 2008 and sits on the Wisconsin Committee for Agriculture, Forestry and Higher Education, Committee on Natural Resources and Environment and Committee on Workforce Development and Tourism and was a key opposition to the Crandon Mine.
