You maniacs. You shut it down. Darn you -- gosh darn you to heck.

The government shutdown is theoretical thing for many Americans -- if you don't work for the government or with the government, you might not have noticed anything different. But if you wanted to go to a national park or monument today, you were out of luck. The National Parks Conservation Association is collecting photos of closed parks, monuments, and other tourist attractions on a Flickr page that contains 45 fairly depressing images -- and counting.
