National title game, here come the soaring Cardinals!

Victory! With Stunning Second Half Surge, Louisville Beats Cal and Heads to National Title Game

Believe it! The giant-slaying Louisville Cardinals will play for the NCAA national title on Tuesday night after stunning the Cal Bears tonight in their Final Four matchup in New Orleans.

Down by 10 at the half, the Cardinals stormed back in the second to win 64-57.  Shoni Schimmel had a poor shooting night but finished strong, with 10 points. She also added six assists and four rebounds. Her sister, Jude, the team's super sixth-woman finished with nine points and four rebounds. The Schimmel sisters are from the Umatilla Reservation in Oregon.

Louisville will meet the winner of the other national semifinal, Notre Dame versus UConn, being played tonight.
